Painting on Fabric and Silk

Everything needed for painting on silk and fabric was ready for the participants. Talented artists and an experienced workshop organizer from OZ Gaštanový koník prepared demonstrations to suit everyone’s tastes. After learning about the techniques, everyone headed off to their favorite shades, and a parade of shapes and colors began.

It was a lively, colorful event. The schoolchildren told us they were amazed by everything they could paint using fabric paints, markers, and silk products.

A World of Colors That Brings Generations Together

Painting on silk and fabric is for everyone, regardless of age. The creative atmosphere was proof of that, with children and adults chatting about choosing shades and applying silk outlines correctly, along with joyful shouts as they created patterns using magic salt.

We were delighted that the painting techniques caught the seniors’ interest, too.

Flowers were the most popular motif, along with animals and the sea.

The clear favorite product was the silk resist, along with the wooden frame, which the organizers cleverly made from wooden strips, and metallic fabric paints.

The wonderful thing about workshops is that you can learn something new or build on what you already know. We, too, came away from many wonderful conversations inspired with fresh ideas and practical experience, which we’re happy to share with you #zláskykumeniu.

The creative atmosphere swept us up in a swirl of paints, too.

Together, we painted a scarf in a traditionally unconventional style. We fell so in love with it that we’ll probably be borrowing it from each other now :)
